  • What kind of Support will I receive when I buy the program?

  • After loading the program how long will it take me to learn to use it?
    There are no special computer skills necessary to use the program.  You will be able to begin working in it as soon as you load it.  If you can use a keyboard and a mouse then you will be able to easily use "Your Insurance Office".  (Back to top)
  • I'm an independent agent.  Can I keep track of the insurance I sell for each company I represent?
    Yes. You can print a "Company Report" that will show all the policies you have sold for an individual insurance company over any period of time selected.  (Back to top)
  • Will the program keep track of my appointments and tasks?
    Yes. When you open the program all of your business appointments, personal appointments and tasks will be displayed in the calendar on the Main Menu. All appointments and tasks for the current data are identified by a red dot.  (Back to top)
  • Will the program compute my commissions?
    Yes. "Your Insurance Office" will compute your commission on each sale and print a "Commission Report" for any period of time selected.  You can also use the program to reconcile your monthly statements to make sure you are being paid the correct amount for each policy sold.  (See Filtering/Sorting in User Guide)  (Back to top)
  • Can I customize the program?
    Yes. There are three User Defined Fields (UDF) in the Clients database and two UDF in the Prospects database. You can change the name/title of these fields and use them for any helpful information  (Back to top)
  • Will the program show me policies that are coming up for renewal?
    Yes. The Clients database has a Renewal Date field showing the date that each Client needs to be contacted. It will also print a "Renewal Date Report" showing all policies that are coming up for renewal over any period of time selected.  (Back to Top)
  • Will "Your Insurance Office" help me retain more of my policy holders?
    Yes.  Staying in touch with your clients is extremely easy using the Mail Merge function.  The program also prints a "Birthday Report" with special mailing labels that have the client's day of birth in gray on the label.  You can prepare all of the cards for the entire month and then mail them out a few days before the client's birthday.  (Back to top)
  • Can I enter and review Contact Dates I have set for the future?
    Yes. Both the Prospect and Client databases have a Next Contact Date field. A "Next Contact Date Report" (NCD Report) can also be printed from either the Prospects or Clients database for any period of time selected.  (Back to top)
  • Can I create and print letters and labels to send to groups of Prospects and Clients?
    Yes. Your Insurance Office has a Mail Merge function built into the program that can be used for mass mailings to targeted prospects or clients. For more advanced users data can also be exported to a word processing program like Microsoft Word.  (Back to top)
  • I sell mostly group insurance. Can I keep track of the policies I have sold to each group?
    Yes. There is a field in the Clients database to enter the Group Company name for each record. You can also print a "Group Company Report" showing all of the policies you have sold to individuals in that group.  (Back to top)
  • Will the reports show me if a policy is still in force?
    Yes. Most of the reports printed from the Clients database will also show if that policy is still in force or if it has cancelled. If it is no longer in force the date the policy cancelled will be shown in RED.  (Back to top)
  • Most of my prospects and clients have computers. Will the program easily let me send them E-mail?
    Yes. Both the Prospect and Client databases have an E-mail address field. Next to that field is a button that will bring up an E-mail window with their E-mail address already in the "Send To" field.  (Back to top)
  • I am a manager.  Can I track multiple agents in the program?
    Yes.  "Your Insurance Office" will track an unlimited number of agents. Most of the reports from the Clients Database can be printed for an individual agent or all agents in the database.  The Prospects database will also let you track leads given to agents.  (Back to top)
  • Is there a Network version available?
    Yes. “Your Insurance Office” will allow up to twenty computers to be networked without the need to use a server.   (Back to top)
  • I distribute leads to agents working for me. Can I keep track of the leads I give to each agent?
    Yes. The Prospects database has separate fields so you can enter the agent you gave the lead to, the date you gave that lead to the agent and the date the lead was returned. An "Agent Lead Report" can be printed showing all of the leads that were given to an individual agent or all agents in the database over any period of time selected.  It will also show the status of each lead.  (Back to top)
  • How much does the program cost?
    You will get more benefits and features with "Your Insurance Office" and pay substantially less. The Single User Version is $299.00.   (Back to top)
  • Can I sync data from the program to my Personal Digital Assistant (PDA)?
    Yes. By clicking on a button in the Main Menu selected data, all appointments and tasks are exported to Outlook. Once in Outlook the data can easily be synced to a PDA.   (Back to top)
  • Will "Your Insurance Office" allow me to export data to other programs?
    Yes. By clicking on the "Export" button in Mail Merge all data, except information in the Comment box, is setup to export in Comma Separated Value (CSV) to other programs. You can export to any program that will accept CSV data   (Back to top)
