"Your Insurance Office" (YIO) was originally developed in 1995. Not as a program to market to insurance agents but as a tool to help me become organized and make more money.

My name is Frank Stastny, I am a producing, licensed L&H agent. In 1995 I was trying to use a combination of 4x6 index cards and a file cabinet to keep track of clients, prospects and leads. It just wasn't working. I felt like I had reached a plateau where it was going to be difficult for me to make more money unless more hours were added to each day. In other words, I wasn't organized.

I began searching the internet for a program that was easy enough for me to use and was priced so I could afford it. Everything I found was too complicated and priced beyond what I felt I wanted to invest. There were annual fees to pay, support was extra, additional modules had to be purchased and some charged extra for training to learn to use the program. All I wanted was an easy to use contact management program that provided me with the information I needed to get organized and make more money.

Out of frustration I hired a programmer and together we began building "Your Insurance Office". I told him it had to be "point and click". I didn't have time to become a "computer expert".

As my needs grew I would have him make changes. Other agents I worked with saw and wanted a copy of the program and I began selling it by "word or mouth". Their suggestions for more functions were also added.

In 1999, four years later, someone mentioned that I should have a website built and put YIO the internet. Other agents found it and began placing orders. They also had ideas for more features and we added them to the program. They became our "design staff".

Today our "design staff" consists of the hundreds of agents currently using "Your Insurance Office". It has now been upgraded three times. Each time a new version was developed it has been as a result of agents using previous versions making requests for additional functions and features.

It truly is a program designed by insurance agents for insurance agents.
